Welcome by the Minority Ombudsman

Dear Visitor! On November 4, 2025, Dr. Laura Gyeney commenced her service as Ombudsman for the Rights of Minorities in Hungary. The page is currently being updated with data.

On 22 September, 2025, the Parliament elected by secret ballot Dr. Laura Gyeney as Ombudsman for the Rights of Minorities in Hungary. She then took the oath of office before the National Assembly and, upon the expiration of the term of her predecessor, Dr. Elisabeth Sándor-Szalay, took office on 4 November, 2025.
