DR. ÁKOS KOZMA MEETS WITH DCAF LEADERS

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights met with the leaders of the Swiss-based DCAF - Democratic Control of Armed Forces - in Geneva on 29 August 2022. During the bilateral meeting, the parties informed each other about the functioning of their institutions and discussed possibilities for future cooperation.

The DCAF focuses on democratic accountability based on the rule of law, the protection of human rights, local ownership, and impartiality - promoting democracy without a political stance. Since its establishment in 2000, the organisation has supported projects in more than 80 countries and provided advice to national and international partners. Hungary joined DCAF in 2000.
