On 30 September 2021, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights received the delegation of the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) at his Office.

On 30 September 2021, the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights attended the ceremonial hallowing of a memorial cross, which had been set up at Ásotthalom in honour of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress.

On 30 September 2021, dr. Ákos Kozma paid a visit to the Border Police Remote Monitoring Control Centre in Mórahalom. The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights was received by Chief Police Counsellor, Police Major Károly Papp, Deputy Chief of the Csongrád-Csanád County Police Headquarters and Police Major László Papp, Head of Aliens Policing Department of the Law Enforcement Directorate of the Csongrád-Csanád County Police Headquarters.

The OPCAT South-East Europe National Preventive Mechanism Network is holding its next meeting in the Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights from 29 to 30 September 2021.

Dr Ákos Kozma gave a talk entitled “A Necessary Evil? – Challenges Posed by Online Education from a Children’s Rights Perspective” at the 11th Media Conference held in the auditorium of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on 27 September 2021.

Ombudsman Dr Ákos Kozma continued the monitoring of the activities of the school guards based in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County: he visited yet another institution of public education on 28 September 2021. This time, the Ombudsman paid a visit to Tiszalúc Arany János Primary School, where he held discussions with the school principal and the school guard in attendance. The main topic of the discussion was the experience gained with regard to the institution of the school guard.
