Ombudsman Dr. Ákos Kozma paid a visit to the Ipolyparti Fészek Children’s Home in Balassagyarmat on 15 September 2023.
The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary was shown around the 12-bed home by the head of the institution Ms. Melinda Molnár. The children’s home provides housing and full services for 12 children aged 12-18 in temporary or state care, and it also ensures follow-up care for young persons aged 18-25.
The Ombudsman will draw up a report about the experience gained from the visit.

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, Dr. Ákos Kozma, visited the Vámosszabadi Reception Centre, operated by the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.
Dr. Kozma was joined by Dr. Domonkos Wildner, General Director for Police Complaints. They were welcomed by Brigadier General Dr. Sándor Gömbös, Director General of the Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.

The session focused on Report no. B/7848 on the activities of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary and his deputies in 2023.
