In the institute, which has a headcount of 1,340 persons, Director General of the Hungarian Prison Service Headquarters Major General Dr. Tamás Tóth and Prison Commander Brigadier General Károly Kopcsik guided the Ombudsman around, who, among others, surveyed the measures adopted and implemented in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, Dr. Ákos Kozma, visited the Vámosszabadi Reception Centre, operated by the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.

The session focused on Report no. B/7848 on the activities of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary and his deputies in 2023.
