Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Visits HDF 5th “Bocskai István” Infantry Brigade

On 13 July 2021, Dr. Ákos Kozma watched the closing exercise of the 25th rotation of the Hungarian Defence Forces (HDF) KFOR Contingent at the shooting range of the HDF 5th “Bocskai István” Infantry Brigade in Hajdúhadház.

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights was received by Lieutenant-Colonel Attila Tarjáni, Deputy Commander of the HDF 5th “Bocskai István” Infantry Brigade and Lieutenant-Colonel István Varga, Contingent Commander. Accompanied by Director of Police Complaints of the OCFR Dr. Domonkos Wildner, the Ombudsman was informed about the 25th Contingent preparing for the Kosovo Mission: the soldiers will replace the current personnel in Kosovo and will be stationed there for six months.

This will be the first time that a larger number of reserve soldiers participate in the mission in the Balkans.
