Visit to Algyő-Nagyfa Prison

On 2 December 2021, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr. Ákos Kozma paid a visit to the Algyő-Nagyfa facility of the Szeged Medium and High Security Prison, where he was received by National Commander of the Hungarian Prison Service, Counsellor, Major General Dr. Tamás Tóth.

On 2 December 2021, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr. Ákos Kozma paid a visit to the Algyő-Nagyfa facility of the Szeged Medium and High Security Prison, where he was received by National Commander of the Hungarian Prison Service, Counsellor, Major General Dr. Tamás Tóth.

The Ombudsman visited the penitentiary institution at Algyő-Nagyfa in his capacity as the OPCAT National Preventive Mechanism, he inspected the facility, then he was informed of the operation of the institution, the current number of detainees, as well as the measures taken by the institution for the prevention of the coronavirus pandemic.
