Commissioner for Fundamental Rights Dr. Ákos Kozma attended the inauguration ceremony of the new building of the Veszprém County Prison in Veszprém on 13 July 2020.

As part of the project launched by the Hungarian Prison Service aimed at increasing the number of prison places by 2,750, the Veszprém County Prison got 330 new places. Minister of Justice Ms. Judit Varga and National Commander of the Hungarian Prison Service Maj. Gen. Dr. Tamás Tóth also attended the inauguration ceremony.

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary, Dr. Ákos Kozma, visited the Vámosszabadi Reception Centre, operated by the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing.

The session focused on Report no. B/7848 on the activities of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary and his deputies in 2023.
